Christmas Gifts! Christmas Gifts!6
We had Christmas with my family at my parents' house on Christmas Eve day.

Then made our way down to IF for dinner and a gift exchange at Trent's mom's house.
Trent's white elephant gift. This really made the nieces and nephews laugh.
We spent that night at Trent's Dad's house and on Christmas morning had our own little Christmas before heading downstairs to join some of the other family that had come to town.
Since this was the first year that Ethan really understood what was going on with Christmas I was super excited to lay the gifts under the tree.... yes, our little tabletop tree... put little stockings together, and set up some already opened gifts (I always liked it when my parents did that).

It was so much fun to watch the kids open their gifts.
So Ethan had been talking for at least a month about how he was going to get a Buzz and a Woody for Christmas. Nothing could convince him otherwise. No Buzz and Nana's (my Mom) and on the way to Grammy's (Trent's Mom) we let him know that Grammy probably didn't have a Buzz at her house. At first he was pretty upset about it but Trent really helped him to be ok if he didn't get a Buzz for Christmas. On the way to his Dad's house Trent asked Ethan, "Did you get a Buzz?" No. "Is that ok?" Yeah. I was about to turn to Trent and give him a big grin but decided not to. Needless to say Ethan's reaction the next morning was pretty great. The toy and the wings were a huge hit.
We hung out at there at the house for part of the day, it's always great to see all the siblings and give Ethan a chance to play with some of his cousins.
Then we headed home to pack and spend time with our kids before taking off for a few days. Christmas was pretty much wonderful!!

Christmas Fun with the Fam
Nate and Melissa had made the drive from sunny Florida to spend Christmas at home and Jake would be flying into SLC late on the 22nd. So my parents thought it'd be fun for us all to head down to Utah for a two day trip as a family.
Tuesday night we met up at Rodizio's for dinner.
Wednesday we spent part of the day at one the many malls in the area. We got a kick out of this particular kiosk, "Feature Films for Families" located just outside Victoria's Secret.

The gang's all here!!!
It seems like it has been a really really long time since my whole family has been together so I was especially excited for Christmas this year knowing that I'd have the chance to be with all of my brothers. This picture means a lot to me.

I've driven down to Utah with the kids a couple of times over the last year but this was the first road trip that Trent had ever been on with us, so that was a lot of fun. After dinner Tuesday night we went swimming back at the hotel for a bit. Ethan loves the idea of swimming but when he was in the big pool with Trent he was pretty clingy and nervous. Kiari on the other hand was fearless! I was in the hot tub with her the whole time but a couple of times she got out and ran straight for the pool. She would always stop about a foot away from the edge however, turn around to look at me and point at the water.
We spent Wednesday at a few different places, doing a little bit of shopping. We had lunch at PF Chang's and then made our way over to Temple Square to see the lights. Shortly after Trent and I made our back home.... and Kiari slept nearly the whole way.
We had a great time with everyone... Thanks Mom and Dad!!
