Thar She Blows!!!

Funny how my husband was able to anticipate my having a meltdown well before I did. As soon as I uttered the words, "I'm just a little moody today" he began to prepare himself. Later he said, "It's kind of like a thunderstorm about to hit, you can just feel it coming."
So pregnant meltdown #1 has officially happened. It was due to an issue that I'm currently struggling with so I won't go into all the details of the why, but if I weren't pregnant I would have dealt with it much differently... matter-of-factly instead of hormonanly. My sweet husband responded beautifully by coming in, putting his arms around me, and just holding me until I was done crying.
When I was pregnant with Ethan I had a lot of crying for no reason moments and I remember Trent finally asking me, "what's the best way for me to respond when it happens?" and it was then that I told him, "just hold me." I don't necessarily need a pep talk or a pity party when it happens, I just need him right there with me until the storm blows over.
*sigh*
Only 3 (give or take) more weeks of all day everyday sick to my stomachness.

Prior to the meltdown I told Trent that I'm needing to just get over myself, that I'm very selfishly not excited about being pregnant, that I know I should be. To which he said, "you don't have to be excited about being pregnant, I don't think I would be. Just be excited about adding to our family."
It was just the perspective I needed. And one that I knew all along, Trent just has a great way of putting things into words for me. Because I really am soooooo excited about the sweet little Spirit that's preparing to join us hear on Earth. I'm just struggling with these early stages of pregnancy.
Three is a good number, right?
I really can't wait to get to the point when I actually enjoy being pregnant.
One day at a time. It'll happen right?

From the Mouths of Babes

I overheard part of Ethan's prayer tonight,

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the baby in Mommy's tummy even though we don't know what it is I say it's a boy but my family says it's a girl but I already have a girlie sister, her name is Kiari...."

We sure do love our little man.

*By the way, we haven't started speculating as to what we're having but when Ethan says he wants a boy we say, "but what if it's a girl?" that's why he thinks we think it's a girl.

Spring IS Here

It has just been since last weekend that it has really started to feel like Spring here in the Burg and Monday was absolutely beautiful. Kiari and I had woken up from our nap later than usual so at 4:30 I was rushing to get the kids into the stroller and run a couple of errands before 5 o'clock (Trent was at work with the car). Having taken care of those in time there was no rush to get a few other things done. On our way to the grocery store a Jamba sounded soooooo good to this pregnant momma. So with the hubby's ok the kids and I shared one.

This really was a treat for me and the kids. I can't remember the last time we've indulged in a Jamba. I made sure to request a couple extra little cups because I had a feeling that once they had each had a sip the kiddos wouldn't be too keen on having to pass it back and forth. They absolutely loved it.

From there it was on to the park for a little bit of play time.
I am sooooo incredibly grateful for the beautiful weather that has FINALLY found us.

These next ones are just a few from recently.

No.... he's not throwing up......

Just looking at the itty bitty ladybug inside. :o)

This was one of those moments when I'm in the kitchen... the kids are in their room... and suddenly I realize that I'm not hearing any kind of noise coming from said room.....

"What are you doing Ethan?" I'm just giving Kiari a sticker. "Just one?" Oh... no, a lot.

Week 6-14...

.... is once again proving to be the crappy part of pregnancy for this momma. For the last two weeks I've been thinking that I was further along than I actually was. That would have been soooooooooo great.... the thought of only having 2 weeks left of being sick all day everyday was beautiful. I went in for my first ultrasound on Thursday and that's when we found out the baby was measuring 8 weeks. *sniffle* 6 more weeks of pretty much non-stop sick to my stomach-ness. I know that it could be soooo much worse than it is so I'm really not complaining. So I won't even go into the fact that I'm already an undisclosed number of lbs heavier than I'd like to be at this point of my pregnancy. No complaining here. Only the anxiousness of being able to workout everyday like I had been since the beginning of the year. Come on Baby 3 we can do this!!!

With my first two I never had any crazy cravings but while I was at the grocery store a few days ago these babies looked really good. Can't help but feel a bit cliche. :o)

HOWEVER a day or two after getting them I literally had to pry myself off to the couch in order to be productive and I thought, "I wonder if a pickle would help at all." It was seriously like magic. The relief from the sick to the stomach-ness didn't last a really long time but the relief that it did bring was beautiful. So for any of you who may currently be pregnant, there's some goodness that comes from a simple jar of pickles.

Here Comes #3

If you think I'm announcing a pregnancy...... you're right. :o)
8 weeks and counting.

Easter Fun

We've always had a great time having an Easter egg hunt at my in-laws every year but we've never actually dyed eggs with Ethan until this year. He and Kiari both seemed to enjoy it.

I didn't take any pictures of the actual hunt, in the past I always manage to get back of head shots so I decided to just do an after family photo.

Conference weekend was great. We spent most of the day Saturday at Trent's mom's house and it was so great to have that time with Mom and Wayne. Sweet little Jalaya was there too and the kids had a lot of fun playing with her. I was pretty sick most of Saturday so sadly I ended up sleeping through most of the two sessions. But the talks that I was coherent for were, of course, wonderful.
We spent Sunday at Dad and Belinda's. Conference was great. Dinner was delicious. and the kids had blast with their egg hunt. It was a fantastic weekend!!
