Another sign...
.... that Nana is in town is the commencement of a DIY project. This trip it has been the kid's room. Needless to say they're pretty excited. We're keeping it pretty simple but the results are still super fun.
This was Kiari's first time ever painting for real. As you can see she took it pretty seriously.
Enoch was confined to the hall for most of the time we were painting but he was a pretty good little trooper about it.

Nana's in town!!!
So Tuesday we spent a good portion of the day at our favorite mall and let the kids spend some time in the water. My kids absolutely LOVE being in water.
First Day!!
Ethan had his first day of Kindergarten yesterday!!!!
Trent and I were able to take him together which is probably why I managed to not cry when he walked inside. But it's hard to be sad when I'm so excited for him!!
We had him in pre-school last year but it was only twice a week so it will definitely be an adjustment to have him gone every morning 5 days a week. Today I asked him if he wanted me to pick him up or if he wanted to ride the bus and he said, "ride the bus!" and it was super cute to see him come off the bus this afternoon.
Pre-first day interview. I don't remember what Trent asked him but Ethan's answer was obviously, "I don't know."
When I asked him about his day he started to tell me about the game they played in p.e. "It's kind of like freeze tag! And to unfreeze the person you have to crawl in between their legs." I TOTALLY REMEMBER PLAYING THAT GAME!!!
Two days in and he likes Kindergarten. Awesome.

Morning Goodness
This is my after cross fit breakfast protein shake.
2 scoops chocolate Proflex
2 cups 1.5% milk
1 cup instant plain oatmeal
1 banana
2 Tbs chunky peanut butter
6-8 ice cubes
This baby keeps me feeling full until about 2 o'clock.
(I should really cut this in half cause it gives me 3 full glasses.)

Melaleuca Convention 2011
First of all, I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have so you'll just have to be satisfied with the few I have here.
It was only a few weeks before Convention that I decided to go and I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to do so!! Convention weekend was definitely a turning point for me.
I took Enoch with me and it felt strange to only be traveling with one.
We took an early flight Wed (the 3rd) into Minneapolis and an early flight out the following Sunday.
Convention General Sessions were amazing, as always, but with an added energy that people would be commenting on all weekend long.
Workshops were, of course, an incredible use of my time and each one fed my motivation.
Melaleuca is a "different kind of company" in every sense of the word and I'm thrilled to be part of their mission, "To Enhance the Lives of Those We Touch, By Helping People Reach Their Goals."
I didn't know about the Minneapolis light rail until the night before I left but I was so grateful to have been told about it!! I paid $1.75 for Enoch and I to ride the train (compared to a $40 cab ride) and then simply walked the remaining 4-6 blocks to our hotel (thank you again to the Baxter's for letting me borrow their jogging stroller!) Here's Enoch sleeping through his first train ride.
That first night we shared a room with Sadie and little miss Reagan and she and Enoch were thrilled to get to play with each other!
The first day there was pretty special. Shortly after I got to the hotel my in-laws got back from a meeting and Belinda needed to head out and pick up some things so Sadie and I went with. During Convention we don't usually get to spend time with the parents because they're crazy busy. But for a few hours Sadie and I got to grab a bite to eat and wander a few stores with Belinda and it was really really great.
Later I also had the opportunity to have dinner with a couple who is very dear to my heart. I love you Jim and Carol!!!!!
When I saw Frank for the first time after getting there he gave me a hug, left momentarily, then came back and without saying a word, put this book into my hands:
I knew exactly what it was and I couldn't wait to look through it.
I was thrilled when I saw the first couple of pages:

The book was announced at Convention and it was then that I learned they had spent three years putting it together. It's a "deep dive" of 22 of their exclusive products.
Awesome.
During parts of the general sessions I had to slip backstage to the green room with Enoch. Enoch discovered very quickly how to make his way through the openings in the curtains and escape.
This is Quebec. He belongs to Jake Olson, one of the most amazing young men you'll ever meet. Jake lost his sight due to cancer but that hasn't slowed him down! He was a guest speaker at Convention last year and was invited back again this year. He spoke about overcoming adversity and it was truly inspiring.

The last night of Convention there's always an awards banquet but since I had Enoch with me I hadn't planned on going. But Belinda had just happened to bring along a dress for me and after a brief chat with my sister-in-law's husband I figured it would be fun to at least go for dinner. I was right. :o)
Some welcomed outside time following the last general session of convention. Enoch couldn't get enough of crawling around in the grass and was pretty mad when I finally had to load him back up in the stroller.
I had an amazing time at Convention but of course it was so good to be back home.
There were three wonderful women from our ward who helped to watch Ethan and Kiari while Trent was at work the days that I was gone and saying "thank you" just doesn't seem like enough. But here it is one more time, THANK YOU JENN, CHRISSY, AND MARGIE!!!!

Rockies Game Night
The company that Trent works for had a family night at a Rockies game a few weeks back and we had a great time!!

Bubbles and Things
At WalMart a couple weeks back I found a Chutes and Ladders with a little damage on the outside of the box. Took it to the counter and asked for a discount.
$2 for a $7 game? Sold!
There's a beautiful outdoor mall not far from our house that hosts a farmers market every Saturday and Kiari loves to go with me. We have a favorite farmer and when they have cherry tomatoes it's especially nice. For Kiari and me anyway. The cherry tomatoes don't always make it home.
Once we're done at the market Kiari will ask if we can do "girly things" so I take her to one of my new favorite stores, Charming Charlie. Wall to wall jewelry organized by color!! We'll walk around and she loves to try things on. It's great girl time.

The night that I found the Chutes and Ladders game I found some bubbles wands for a $1 a piece along with a big jug of bubbles for $3. My kids loves bubbles.
Hard to believe July has come and gone!
Ethan starts Kindergarten in just a couple weeks and I'm soooo excited for him!
