Super Sweet and Unexpected

I've been working at a local radio station as the morning show co-host for the past few months and here a couple of weeks ago I had an avid avid listener call in and say she had finished a little something for my baby girl and asked if she could drop it off at the station for me. I'd never seen anything like this!!
Not only was it a plethora of diapers but surrounding it were various babies items like baby wipes, a pair of little pink socks, a pacifier, baby spoon, and even a little something for Ethan. It was so incredibly sweet of her to make it for me and it's such a blessing to now be prepared with so many diapers.
Thanks Irlene!!

November 18th Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!

Trent spent most of his birthday on campus, I'm so proud of him for how hard he's working to finish up and finish strong. Still about another year to go but the end is in sight and I'm so so proud of him.
Trent spent part of his day somewhat depressed at the thought of turning 28 and being that much closer to 30..... fret not my love you're only 27!!! That made him feel a bit better.
Mom (Belinda) called and wanted to take us out to dinner to celebrate, along with my family and any of Trent's siblings that were able to join us. We spent the evening at a sushi restaurant called the Blue Haishi and the food was amazing as always.... even better considering it had been quite awhile since we'd eaten there.
Downer side to his day was having to prepare for and take a Trig test which he was more than thrilled to be done with.

Trent is the love of my life and if there's such a thing as a soul mate he's definitely mine. He has taught me so much about the gospel, life, and all around us, when I look back I'm amazed and grateful at how much I've grown since being married to Trent. Hard to believe we'll be celebrating 3 years together in just a matter of weeks. Trent is a wonderful husband and an incredible father. I'm so grateful for his love for me, Ethan, and the little girl that has yet to join us. I love watching him with Ethan, the way they play together, the way that Trent takes advantage of every opportunity to teach Ethan something new and encourages me to do the same. I'm so grateful for and love the way he loves the Lord. Trent is truly my best friend and the love of my life.
Happy Birthday Honey!!!!

I'm so totally obsessed with his feet.

Jason and Eliza Ruys

Jason and Eliza were sealed in the Rexburg Temple on Saturday, November 15. The ceremony was beautiful and it was so neat to just watch the two of the together throughout the course of the day.
We're so happy for you both!
Love you Guys!!!

Halloween 08

So... these pictures aren't in the exact order that I was going for but.... ya know.

Halloween started off on the 30th when Ethan and I met up with Monica and her son Ezaias at Melaleuca for their trick or treat event. It was so much fun, everyone at the call center had gone all out as far as decorating. They went with a Disney theme. The kids started in the reception area that was decked out like the nursery in Peter Pan, the receptionist was appropriately dressed as Tinker Bell.

The kids then made their way down the hall to Mermaid Lagoon and Captain Hook's pirate ship where they found their first treasure chest of candy.

Getting ready for Halloween Night! It was actually my Relief Society President that suggested Mario. I was telling her that we decided we didn't want to spend money on a costume this year and she asked, "does Ethan have overalls and a red shirt?" and I went from there.

So Ethan was Mario, Trent was Luigi (and a very good sport about it I might add), and I was a very pregnant Princess Toadstool.

We had two stops last night, the first was The Rex, our local movie theatre, where they were having a trunk or treat and carnival. My dad was there with representing the fire department handing out candy and he was pretty excited to see his little grandson decked out and ready to do some trick or treating.

Our second stop was at the house in Idaho Falls for a VanderVille get together.

Our evening wasn't all too eventful, Trent had had an especially stressful day and was very ready for a night at home but relented to my love of Halloween, let me dress him up, and took Ethan and I out. We didn't really stay at either place too long, so it's funny that I made us all get dressed up to go out for only a few hours. I think we were home by 10:30 and definitely in bed before midnight. I can't tell you how happy I was about the fact it was Friday. Getting up M-F at 5:30 in the a.m. to be to work by 6 I was looking very much forward to sleeping in.
Today has been a wonderfully relaxed day putting the house back in order and spending a great deal of time with my boys. I'm also looking forward to an extra hour of sleep tonight... hooray daylight savings time!

In other news... I had a doctor's appointment this last Thursday and it looks like my belly is just as big as it should be, my blood pressure is, in the words of the doctor, "amazing," and I'm doing great as far as my weight gain.... and no I'm not saying how much that is at this point. I'm now 32 weeks and 5 days and I can't believe my weeks to go are now in the single digits.
No names picked out just yet we may just have to wait until she gets here

Life's beautiful and busy and I love it!!
